No es necesario repetir que los videojuegos van mas allá que el videojuego, y entran en muchos nuevos campos que hace unos años no se podría ni haber vislumbrado, y que hoy en día son cada vez mas realidad y cada vez de moda.
El único problema, es que no siempre es fácil verlo y y son todavía muchas las personas que tienen dudas sobre esta aplicación del lenguaje y tecnología del videojuego, por lo que cuanta mas información tengamos, mas fácil nos resultará poder argumentar y discutirlo. Para los que tengan mucho tiempo por delante y quieran entrar a fondo en estas temáticas tan interesantes, os dejo con un articulo muy interesante que recopila 100 artículos o recursos sobre diferentes aspectos de la gamificación o del videojuego aplicado al aprendizaje ( entre ellos serious games).
Es importante ser conocedor de estas posibilidades? Personalmente creo que si desde dos ópticas distintas. La primera desde la óptica de creador de videojuegos, dado que es una nueva posibilidad de desarrollo y de aplicabilidad de nuestras capacidades. De un punto de vista de fuera de la industria y posible usuario de estas tecnologías, me interesa todo lo que puede representar a medio-largo plazo, una mejoría de la eficiencia de la empresa por aplicar técnicas novedosas que puede hacer el desarrollo de mi actividad. Uno de los beneficios de la actual crisis económica, es que nos ha ver la importancia de que seamos activos en la búsqueda de la eficiencia y de la diferenciación, el de lanzarnos a buscar nuevas oportunidades versus gestionar las existentes. Hay que buscar siempre la racionalidad y el elemento diferencial que puede hacer que nuestra empresa se diferencia para mejor de las restantes competidoras, cuantos mas elementos diferenciadores mejor, porque al final, no es un solo elemento, si no la conjunción de muchos pequeños factores.
La gamificación y la capacidad de los videojuegos para potenciar la relación con clientes, o la motivación/compromiso de empleados, o la posibilidad de hacer que que nuestros empleados tengan mas facilidad para aprender y lo hagan mejor, es un elemento importante a la hora de poder buscar una pequeña parte de esa diferenciación.
